Caretaker Dampcare
Fibre Reinforced Acrylic Waterproof Coating
Caretaker Dampcare is a fibre reinforced elastomeric liquid applied waterproofing membrane. It is formulated with selected elastomeric and resilient acrylic polymers and reinforcing polyester fibres. Upon curing, it forms a thick, seamless, durable membrane thus offering ultimate waterproofing.
We recommend base coat plus 2 coats totally 3 coats for best waterproofing results. It is available on multiple colours on request. The waterproofing performance can be enhanced for large terrace area by laying a fibre mesh that is sandwiched between the coats.

Surface Preparation
- Prepare the surface ready by cleaning it with wire brush. Remove all the dust, algae, bituminised coatings, oil & grease etc.
- Fill the cracks if any with Caretaker Crackcare (Acrylic Caulking compound) by cutting the narrow cracks in “V” grove with cutter.
- No need to open hair line cracks. Surface to be coated must be sound. If found any hollow portion, break the portion and repair with Caretaker Carecoat. Ensure that the surface area should be little slop
Application (Best Result)
- Dilute 1 part of Care O Sil+, 20 Part of mineral water and 2 Part of Care O Prime. Apply the mixed solution by brush or airless spray on the treated surface. The total solution should be covered in 350-400 sq.ft. area. Allow them to dry at least for 24 hrs. curing
- Apply prime coat of Caretaker Dampcare by diluting 10% water on Care O Sil+ applied surface. Leave the surface to dry 6-8 hrs. Apply the 2nd coat without any dilution at the rate of 25 sq. ft. per lit and allow it to dry 6-8 hrs. Repeat the same for 3rd coat.
- If large area to be treated, lay fibre mesh on the prime coat and apply the Caretaker Dampcare on it. After drying the surface, apply 3rd coat on the surface.
Important
- Caretaker Dampcare coating should be done from parapet walls.
- Caretaker Dampcare should not be applied during rain time.
- Caretaker Dampcare applied surface must be restricted to vehicular traffic of movement or other sharp and heavy things other than foot walk. Walking wearing with nail fixed shoes are also restricted.
- Caretaker Dampcare should be applied 2 extra coats on all the corners, gap, joints etc.
- Expansion joints must be treated very well before applying Caretaker Dampcare.
